Q1. How to Apply the course?
Please see the application procedure for priority admission in our website.

The application period starts from November to April/May. Please refer to Graduate School website https://www.gs.cuhk.edu.hk/admissions/ for the admission information, documents requirements and to fill in an online admission form.

Online/in-person Interview might be arranged for potential applicants who had submitted all the required documents and paid the application fee. Once the admission reached the maximum capacity, we will announce of "full enrollment" in this website.

The first round of selection will start at the end of December.
Q2. How is the programme benchmarked with other programmes in Hong Kong and worldwide?
To the best of our understanding, we are the first MSc programme in the Musculoskeletal Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Geriatric Orthopaedics, especially with focuses on occupational rehabilitation and geriatric conditions in medical and allied health aspects. Therefore, there is no standardized benchmark indicator for comparison. The newly proposed programme will provide opportunities for a variety of positions in the industry to advance their knowledge not only of their own professional aspects but also of a holistic rehabilitation and management in different areas. Similar programmes are also rare in other parts of the world.

The Geriatric Orthopaedics stream of this programme is a unique and newly-emerged Geri-Ortho field and there is no other programme focusing on this subspecialty in Hong Kong and worldwide. The stream covers various topics about degenerative diseases, geriatric orthopaedic co-management, pain control and psychosocial aspects rather than a specific orthopaedic disease through integrated collaboration between departments.

The Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation stream covers the areas of planning exercise prescription to special populations, evaluating psychosocial risk factors, applying rehabilitation technology to patients with occupation injuries, amputation and spinal cord injury conditions.
Q3. Is there any financial support for the MSc MRGO Course?

At present we have successfully achieved the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programme Fellowship Scheme (TTPPFS) for 2021/22 and 2022/23 admission. Awardees will receive a total of $120,000 in 2 installment at the end of year 1 and year 2 studies. This scheme is limited to LOCAL students only. If you need more details, please contact us.
