Musculoskeletal Regeneration Research Network (MRN) meeting in Perth

The 6th Musculoskeletal Regeneration Research Network (MRN) meeting was held on 28th to 29th of June 2023, in Perth, as hosted by Prof. Zheng Ming-Hao, University of Western Australia. The CUHK delegation included ORT colleagues and professors from School of Biomedical Sciences. MRN is the ideal platform to establish a taskforce to translate the research conducted by participating members into clinical practice. This year we have Prof. Stuart Goodman from Stanford university, Prof. Regis O’Keefe from University of Washington, Prof. Geoff Richards from AO foundation, Prof. Yin Xiao from University of Queensland, Prof. Zhang Xiao-Ling from Shanghai JiaoTong University, and colleagues from Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT). The reunion after COVID has sparked new ideas of collaboration and development. We confirmed that the next MRN meeting will be held in the greater bay area (Hong Kong, Shenzhen) to catch up the local advancement of Innovation and technology.

By building up a strong network with like-minded teams and institutions, MRN become leaders in the field of musculoskeletal regenerative research. Members of this network will gain unique opportunities to enhance their research and clinical practice and outcomes, as well as gaining assistance in applying for grants, through their MRN collaborations. MRN will also be able to form solid bonds with industries, in order to bring academic research into the clinical realm. Ultimately, members will be able proliferate their knowledge effectively between members to ensure projects remain on track and achieve their ultimate goals.
