Funding: I have generated total 43 grants with total finding of approx. HK$32.85 million since 04/2009 till 07/2015 as PI or Co-I (25 grants as PI with funding total approx. of HK$15.80 million).  Among which, I have secured 17 competitive grants as PI (including GRF, ITF, NSFC etc.) with funding approx. of HK$7.3 mllion; 18 competitive grants as Co-I with funding approx. of HK$16.75 million; 8 non-competitive grants (mainly for industry contract research) as PI with funding approx. of HK$8.8 million.

My average funding (2009-2016) is approx. HK$2,500,000 per year (approx. USD320,000 or GBP 240,000 per year).{Bench marking: In Hong Kong the average funding for a non-clinical professor is about HK$300,000 to 1,000,000 per year. }
